Flexible Provision
Our specialised, small group, flexible provision provides tuition to students with the lowest attendance rates and the most extreme behaviours.
This is based in Orford Community Hub, Warrington, with transport to and from sessions included.
Here students have are referred on a flexible basis in order to help them return to education after becoming disengaged.
Sessions include English, English Language, Maths and Science tuition up to a GCSE foundation level, as well as self defence, mindfulness, habit tracking, mini games and a wellbeing curriculum of lessons.
In our vast experience in working with non attenders, many show signs of SEN that is undiagnosed. If our coaches/teachers believe that a student shows signs of SEN, they will complete a referral to the Neurodevelopmental Pathway. Our small groups are then an ideal setting for students to be observed by professionals.
Home Tutoring
The programme can include home tutoring where our tutors specialise in building relationships with students and find out their barriers to education through 1-1 work.
Small Group Work
We provide a highly therapeutic environment in which students have a maximum group size of 3 to maximise engagement.
Transport to and from sessions is included.
Rolling Placements
In the rare occasion that a student fails to engage with our programme, schools can replace them for another at no additional cost.
We would never take payment without providing our best service.
Well-Being, Attendance and Behaviour Coaching
Our sessions are bespoke to the needs of each individual student, so can therefore target improved attendance, engagement, behaviour or general well-being.
Sessions include practical activities such as self defence, mindfulness, habit tracking and mini games with the aim to boost mood and concentration, enabling the student to return to their lessons in an optimal state for learning.
They also include a curriculum of lessons based around wellbeing and self-care, such as exercise, nutrition, sleep hygiene, mindfulness, rationalising worries, stress response and mental health awareness.
The result of this is improved school attendance as well as a decreased number of school exclusions.
1 on 1
Sessions are completed on an individual basis to ensure maximal engagement.
During lesson time
Sessions run alongside school lessons for 30-60 minutes dependant on need.
Can take place at home
For students who are consistently absent from school, sessions will take place through home visits.
Assemblies and Workshops
Our assemblies and workshops give an insight into our programmes by teaching students the mental and physical benefits of practising healthy habits.
For years 4-8, our ‘Science of Wellbeing’ assembly encourages participation from students through engaging questioning as well as a short, fun and interactive exercise activity.
For years 10-11, our ‘Exam Preparation’ assembly teaches students the science backed ways to improve their motivation and drive towards exams, and provides them with the mindfulness skills to manage stress and perform to their full potential on exam days.
Fun and Interactive
Students take part in questioning as well as a short exercise and mindfulness demonstration
